London – Edelman Public Affairs strengthens its team with the appointment of Kate Eden as the new head of the practice’s Health offering.
Reporting to Alex Bigg, Managing Director of Edelman Public Affairs, Kate will oversee key client relationships and support the drive for new business opportunities in the health and pharmaceutical industry. In this role, she will also work closely with Edelman Health.
Kate has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, both in-house and within consultancy. Prior to joining Edelman, she spent three years at Boehringer Ingelheim where she was Corporate Affairs Manager, advising on health policy and corporate affairs, working across the product portfolio including long-term conditions and specialist care products. Prior to this, she was Senior Consultant at Total Healthcare Solutions, a specialist management consultancy, where she focused on global market access, pricing and reimbursement. She previously worked at Merck, Sharp and Dohme Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Merck and Co., in Public Affairs and NHS Relations, building relationships with key stakeholders in the political environment, health service professionals and advocacy groups.
