London – PR Week’s Agency of the Year Edelman has re-organised the top management team of its consumer boutique JCPR – as a number of promotions and new roles are announced.
Ruth Warder – who leads the Xbox UK and Covent Garden teams (among others) – will step up into the role of Managing Director later this year. As part of a wider reshuffle, Sharon Reid will become Deputy Managing Director and Amber O’Connor will join the Edelman Global Client Relationship Programme. Creative Director and Vice Chair of Edelman UK, Jackie Cooper, will continue in her cross-agency, creative role.
Ruth will report to Edelman UK CEO (and one of the two Founding Partners of JCPR) Robert Phillips and COO Susan Eastoe. Phillips commented: ‘To promote one of our own to such a senior position is always a great source of pride, but even more so when it’s someone who has been with the agency for such a long time and has been at the forefront of some of our biggest client and award wins. I am really delighted that Ruth will be taking on the MD role – she has been with JCPR for eight years and absolutely ‘gets’ the agency, both as an unique consumer shop and within the wider Edelman context. Likewise, I am equally thrilled for Sharon and Amber’s promotions’.
Ruth will take over her new role as MD of the 60-strong agency from July 1 2010.
