London – Edelman today announces that Robin Hamman joins the agency today as a Director in the agency’s Digital practice.
Hamman has over 10 years’ experience working with organisations to recognise the crucial role that digital plays in business transformation. He spent six years at the BBC, before joining Headshift, where his clients included many leading brands in the consumer, energy and media sectors as well as non-profits and the public sector. Based in Edelman’s London office, Hamman will be part of the Digital team and work with clients across the agency to deliver business-led digital strategies.
Hamman joins from Headshift where he led the social media team for two years. He was previously Senior Community Producer at the BBC, where he was responsible for teaching BBC staff how to use social media and engage new audiences online. He was also the editorial and technical lead for the BBC’s network of over 50 programmes and presenter blogs. Prior to this, he was an Executive Producer at Granada Television. He is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Journalism at City University.
Marcus Dyer, Digital Managing Director at Edelman, said: “Robin is undoubtedly one of the best known names in the industry for devising social media strategies that genuinely transform business strategy and communications. We are delighted that he is joining the team.
“Robin’s addition to our team reflects our rapid growth over the last year as well as our commitment to helping clients employ social media to transform their businesses through social media. It’s a commitment that started when David Armano joined in the U.S., and now expands into Europe
with Robin.”
