Edelman Appoints Digital Health Expert to Expand Growing Business

Edelman today announced the appointment of Digital Health expert Justin Woodington as a specialist resource working across Edelman’s digital, health and medical education businesses (Spook Media, Edelman Healthcare and BioScience Communications). This is a newly created position which follows significant business growth in digital communications for the health and pharmaceutical industry. Justin will report into Marshall Manson, Director of Digital Strategy, and work closely with Steven Spurr, Managing Director, Healthcare, and David Noble, Managing Director, BioScience Communications.

Those are pretty strong imperatives for pharmaceutical companies and anyone involved with healthcare to be thinking about how to engage in the online space. Over the last year, we've built our specialism in digital health through our work with clients like Novartis and Novo Nordisk and, with this appointment, we have deepened our experience even further."

Justin previously spent five years at sanofi-aventis UK where he was responsible for digital communications, including intranet platforms and the UK website. He provided counsel, at board level, on digital strategy and implementation techniques for a wide range of communications programmes, from employee engagement to healthcare brand and public affairs campaigns.
