We caught up with Gradi Dodo, Assistant Account Executive, Technology, as he reflects on his time on the Edelman Open scheme.
Why did you join the Edelman Open scheme?
I appreciated the ease of the application process and wanted to work in communications.
What does a typical day in your role look like?
Media relations, content writing and admin.
What’s been your favourite project/campaign to work on?
Doing proactive media work for my clients HP and Elastic. These clients are B2B tech companies so it’s always interesting finding new story angles that enables us to get media coverage and tell the clients story in fun new ways.
What advice would you give to others applying to the Edelman Open scheme?
Learn what will be expected of you in your role early on.
How do you see your career path developing?
Becoming more involved in creative work and liaising with the African offices.
