In April, Edelman supported Malaria No More at the Malaria Summit in London, where Heads of Commonwealth States made financial commitments totalling a phenomenal £2.9 billion, to halve malaria cases and deaths. The Summit, run in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, was the culmination of a 70 day communications campaign. Speeches from HRH Prince of Wales, Bill Gates, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Director-General of the World Health Organisation, and author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, highlighted the importance of the Commonwealth’s commitment to malaria.
