The "Trump Wall": Conversation Analysis of Donald Trump by Edelman Intelligence

Consumer Trends & Insight, Government Affairs

Edelman Intelligence research into the impending US elections has shown that Donald Trump has changed the rules of the game when it comes to Presidential elections on Twitter. He may be pithy, mean and powerful but insight shows that his authentic style has mobilised a strong community who echo his statements, drowning all competitors.

The analysis leveraged Edelman Intelligence’s patented Twitter analysis tool Flow140, and found that Trump’s comments are retweeted more than double that of Hillary Clinton and 10x that of Jeb Bush. Mike Berland, former chief executive of Edelman Intelligence (formerly Edelman Berland), observed: “This is not just a rally that happens once in a while. This is a continuous Trump rally that happens on Twitter at all hours. He fills the Twitter stadium every day.”

For analysis of the “Trump Wall”, see Pithy, Mean and Powerful: How Donald Trump Mastered Twitter for 2016 by Michael Barbaro, the New York Times.
