In 2014, up to 3 million people in the UK were potentially owed money by their former energy supplier.

Working with Energy UK, the trade body representing the energy industry in the UK, Edelman developed an integrated PR, PA, brand identity and

advertising campaign called “My Energy Credit”. The objective was to raise public awareness of the issue and reunite consumers with their unclaimed energy credit.

Impact

The integrated campaign included:

• Visual identity – design of logo and campaign identity
• Print advertising – designed and delivered 100% in-house, run in the 11 national UK newspapers, with an estimated aggregate reach of up to 10 million
• A national and regional media sell-in – print, TV, and radio, generating 126 pieces of coverage
• Stakeholder engagement – consumer organisations, student associations, price-comparison sites, Scottish Property Centres, and MPs
• Digital engagement – Twitter campaign, with an estimated reach of up to 2 million
