Insight

As 2015 was the first ever London Food Tech Week, Edelman was asked to create a PR strategy to support London Food Tech Week in driving attendance and participation of experts in the food, technology, and sustainability fields and to attract further interest from sponsors or for suggested future events.

Idea

Edelman supported London Food Tech Week from PR planning through to post-event activity: developing a PR strategy for the launch, creating press materials and also helping to pitch to media.

 

Edelman staff were actively involved in events throughout the week, with Justin Westcott, MD, staring in the LFTW promo video, Edelman mentors, judges and speakers on hand for the Hackathon and the exclusive Food of Genius panel.

Impact

Edelman secured five articles, conducted one media briefing with AgFunderNews, the New Scientist and The Guardian, and trades were in attendance at events.

2,700 visitors attended London Food Tech Week, including 75 investors and over 20 FTSE 500 companies.
