Jo Sheldon

Jo is Managing Director at Edelman, responsible for Media thought leadership, best practice. She is also head of the Strategic Media Unit.

Jo joined Edelman in December 2004, having spent 20 years as a journalist for print and TV. She is an effective communicator with extensive writing, journalistic skills and in depth knowledge of print and television media. Her more recent experience has been in business journalism.

In 1998, Joanna worked as an Anchor on CNBC Europe where she presented and co-wrote the daily two-hour live business programme - Powerlunch and before this co–anchored the nightly programme, Europe Tonight.

Jo has also been Anchor and Executive Producer on European Business News (EBN), presenting the daily ‘Money Wheel’ programme, and Personal Finance programme ‘Your Money’. She presented and was Executive Producer of ‘Style Café’ and presented ‘Countdown to Euro’. In addition, she has also been News Anchor on GMTV, LWT’s Friday Night programme and Sky News.

Jo started her career as a reporter for the Mail on Sunday and has also done freelance reporting for The Mirror, The Times, The Evening Standard, Sunday Express and Mail on Sunday.
