What has your journey into Edelman looked like and how did you get into the communications industry?

I started my career in advertising in Sydney, and have managed all kinds of comms projects, from website builds, to online, print and press campaigns. The skills I gained by having a background in production, goes hand in hand with project management, so when the opportunity came up to join Edelman, I felt that my skills and experience were a perfect fit for the integrated projects that are a growing part of the Edelman portfolio.

Tell us a bit more about the Project Management team at Edelman. 

Our job is to make everyone’s lives easier. It’s as simple as that. We are pro-active, organised, facilitators, and have an eye and ear out at every step of the process to ensure smooth project delivery.

What achievement are you most proud of?

My London journey! Leaving Sydney at the age of 25 to live and work in a new city, working at some incredible agencies and building the most amazing career in London.

What do you find most rewarding about the job?

Working with highly intelligent people who bring new knowledge to each project, and continually learning from them. Also, fostering a happy project team.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced throughout your time at Edelman?

How large the company is, with so many departments that provide such a range of different skillsets and knowledge bases, and knowing who to speak to. But, by being persistent, you will get through it, and it is incredibly rewarding and satisfying.

How do you stay motivated?

By continually setting small goals and working to achieve them. Working with positive people who then in turn generate enthusiasm and energy.

If you could offer one piece advice to someone considering working in the PM team at Edelman, what would it be?

Project Management is an attitude and mindset. If you are naturally organised, curious, pro-active and a seeker of solutions, then it’s the place to be!

What do you do outside work to relax?

I enjoy going to the gym, kickboxing, and cuddling with my cat.
